  • cultivate self-compassion
  • improve memory, attention and decision making.

My name is Susan Allshorn. I help ordinary people learn new ways of dealing with stress, pain and chronic illness. Why? Because following my own encounter with trauma ( I fell down a mountain in 2001) I discovered a company called Breathworks. Vidymala, the founder, had made a similar journey but 20 years before me. I began working with them for my own therapy and ended up training to teach the skills I learnt to other people because so many people are suffering and don’t know how to help themselves. “There’s nothing more we can do for you” became a springboard to a new way of working with myself One of kindness, compassion and gentleness.

Whether your primary focus is stress or pain related we work with meditation, practical exercises, teaching (based on the latest findings about how this works) and day to day practice which by the end of the 8 weeks will have changed the way you relate to yourself and people around you. I work mostly with small groups, no more than 10 ┬ápeople in a variety of venues, but mostly from home because that’s where you’ll do most of your work on this, in your home. I also run short half-day, stand alone sessions and a Meet-up group to enable people to share their experiences, broaden their experience and support one another.
