Mindfulness fo Health helps us develop a new relationship with pain or chronic illness by:

Mindfulness for health interrupts the cycle of tension, reaction and suffering replacing it with kindness, awareness and choice helping us remain steady through life’s ups and downs

Breathworks Mindfulness for Health courses have helped people living with:

Injuries such as Whiplash, Chronic Back Pain, Arthritis, Diabetes,Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue, Cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, ME, Neuropathy, Parkinson’s Disease & many other health conditions

Susan, after an accident which leaves her with persistent nerve pain and needing to pace her own activities, understands very well how debilitating this can be but has also used her own mindfulness practice, taught by  Vidyamala and the Breathworks team, to gain understanding of how, meditation, pacing and mindful living can expand our abilities to cope with chronic pain and illness so that it no longer rules our lives.

In the sessions, Susan will guide you through exercises featured in the best-selling ‘Mindfulness for Health’ book by Vidyamala Burch and Danny Penman. These include:

  • breath awareness
  • ways to manage thoughts and feelings
  • mindfulness in daily life and pacing
  • body scans and other mindful meditations
